The world goes on…no more blonde hair skinny Swede ripping up the decks across the globe.
We lose another bright prospect that influenced the world upon takeoff. I am no expert on EDM (Electric Dance Music), the Ultra’s, the DJ journey and its demise. But I know enough that we lost someone meaningful and someone comparable to a muse (a virtuoso).
I watch TomorrowLand (Global Event annually held in Belgium) featured on YouTube channels, and one similar trait braced all the sets, from Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike through to Alesso, they all paid tribute to a great mind, soul, signature that is left embedded in the Music World.
I see this from purely an observation, not a fanatic view, but to have such an immense following, an impact in the disruptive over-competitive market. What and who was Avicii?

At 16, Bergling began posting his remixes on electronic music forums, which led to his first record deal. He rose to prominence in 2011 with his single “Levels“. His debut studio album, True (2013), blended electronic music with elements of multiple genres and received generally positive reviews. It peaked in the top ten in more than fifteen countries and topped international dance charts; the lead single, “Wake Me Up“, topped most music markets in Europe and reached number four in the United States.

His catalogue also included the singles “I Could Be the One” with Nicky Romero, “You Make Me“, “X You“, “Hey Brother“, “Addicted to You“, “The Days“, “The Nights“, “Waiting for Love“, “Without You” and “Lonely Together“. Bergling was nominated for a Grammy Award for his work on “Sunshine” with David Guetta in 2012 and “Levels” in 2013. Several music publications credit Bergling as among the DJs who ushered electronic music into Top 40 radio in the early 2010s.
Bergling retired from touring in 2016 due to health problems, having suffered stress and poor mental health for several years. On 20 April 2018, Avicii was found dead in Muscat, Oman. He was buried on 8 June in Stockholm, Sweden (All courtesy of WikiPedia).
Rest in Peace, Avicii.
His electro-signature will never die, as the tributes still keep rolling, the constant vibration in his energy is felt in many spheres. He really did live a full life, and maybe for most of us mere mortals, he was cut short a couple or a decades of years. This is my opinion, please consider it in its entirety…
Heroes are among us…in all shapes and forms…If you are not living a life of content, you will fail to miss the obvious. The individuals who possess gifts of greatness, might have the burden of a dark yang that goes with the undeniable yin talent of excellence. Avicii had the muse and creative spirit that touched every soul on the planet, and with that came the the burden, the demons that he had to face, as he would return to himself in the parable that is the essence of any great story. He is a tragic story, but his greatness lives on, and maybe the reason he is not here, is that he completed that battle of accomplishment.
